Default Anyone got a Stubben Trevira, if so

please could you measure the metal pin (don't know the correct name) that goes into the hole on the girth strap.

I've just had the straps replaced on my Wintec with leather ones and the saddler has put very thick girth straps, I've tried a few girths I've already got and the pin is too short for the straps (there's only about 3 mm of it sticking out when the girth is done up). I was going to get a new girth anyhow and decided on the Stubben after reading about it on here but there's no point getting it if the pin will be too short.

Also do you think it is safe to ride with so little of the pin visable?

The cord girth?
I have one. I'll try and remember later.
