Hi, Please Note:
Following a forum update (07/04/2014, which involved changes to security settings) some users have experienced issues when logging onto the forum. This information is being offered by way of a remedy:
If you are not logged in and are experiencing issues when attempting to login we would suggest removing all HHO cookies from your browser (the method varies from browser to browser but Google can help).
Then, close the browser and start over by accessing the forum from the THIS LINK (not any previously saved bookmarks/favourites/links, which should be removed before accessing the forum, after refreshing the cookies), then log in afresh.
Once this is done you can replace the HHO forum bookmark with a fresh one.
Users who use the 'Remember Me' function do appear to be able to avoid this issue, but we would not recommend selecting 'Remember Me' on a public or shared computer.
If you are logged in you will see the 'Registered Users Only' section, your name will appear toward the top of the forum page, and you will have the option to 'Log Out'. (NB: The listing on the forum home page will show your Username if you have been logged in, and continue to show your Username for a short time after logging out, it does not necessarily reflect your login state 'now', as such it may be unreliable as evidence of actually being logged in.)
If you have requested a new password recently and not followed the prompts to completion (or been unable to do so), then you will have to make a fresh request to reset your password - after refreshing your cookies and entering the forum from the link above - and complete the process to access the forum.
Old passwords would no longer be valid once the new password request process has been initiated and would therefore throw up an error message.
There is no need to 'register' an account, your account is still valid, but you will need to follow the above instructions to access it if you are having problems logging in.
User who are unable to log in after following the above:
Whilst the issue does not appear to be universal the development team are investigating and will hopefully be able to discover what it is that causes the problem and, more importantly, how it can be remedied.
All we can suggest at this time is that users who are continuing to experience log in issues come back to the forum at a later point and try again, at which time the issue may be resolved, or we have been able to provide more information on the forum.
