a new friend for Chimo
      #3596023 - 14/10/2008 18:15

we are now the proud owners of a little JRT to be a friend for Chimo (british inuit) he is 2 days older than her and came from someone at work whose daughter and boyfriend broke up and did not feel they had time for him.

a few queries:

Can they both eat the same food? i.e a good quality Adult dog food (they are both 14 months). Chimo eats Royal Canin for big dogs and he eats science diet for adult dogs or shold he have small dog food?

Chimo loves him, a bit too much and wants to play ALL the time and understanerbly (?) he gets annoyed. what is the best way to calm her down a bit. She only seems to get carried away when we are there, whne we are out they seem much calmer (if you sneek up on them and look through the window they are fine!)

thanks

As long as they're healthy and the food have an easy size for them to chew, you could allways try. Just keep an eye on their condition, and make sure they keep the right weight.

As for one wanting to play more than the other, try some extra brain-activation, like looking for hidden treats/Kong etc.
Good luck.
