capped hock and box rest
      #3595906 - 14/10/2008 17:31

hi ive got a yearling who capped her hock 4 months ago. ive tried everything to get it down as she is for showing, the only thing that keeps it down is box rest so the vet has suggested keeping her in for 2-3 weeks in order for the tissue to tighten up again, was just wondering if anyone had any idea whether this would work and if so is 2-3 weeks long enough. many many thanks

Sorry to hear of your babes problem. I don't know if it would work, but if the vet says give it a go...?

Fingers crossed.
