At the moment my mare and foal are out 24/7 until the new stables are built so consequently were all rugged up. When i went to measure Rossi for her new rug i was astounded to find that none of the previous years foal rugs would fit as she measured a whopping 4'9"!!! Shes now wearing a cuddly ponies full neck turnout and ive got to say im plesantly suprised at the fact that its doesnt look out of place at all, so for anyone with a huge baby like mine, id definately recomend giving them a try.

I agree, my six month foal is in a 5'3, I was shocked when she measured that big!! Think she is gonna be huge!!! Was upset when none of the foal rugs went up to that size so bought her a pony rug. It fits perfectly!

This all makes me chuckle....maybe I should offer to rehome all this outgrown foal rugs....my mare is 5ft6 and I reckon her daughter will end up around the same 5ft6/5ft9/

Yep, I used the Cuddly Pony range for my baby. Great rugs. Cheap(ish) too!

Im with you Volatis I dont rug foals and youngstock anyway but wouldnt say the weather has been bad enough yet. I just like to be able to feed lots of fibre and be able to see their condition daily.
