I have just received these photos of my 3 year old Grannox (Grannus) x Sandro filly under saddle. She is the one that received an Elite from the BEF Futurity Evaluation. She looks very happy and relaxed in her work and has been a complete sweet heart, she is taking it all in her stride. We think she still has a fair bit of growing still to do, so she will be quietly hacked and ridden slowly during the winter. She will have a break early spring, and then back into work for the end of the summer.
I now can't wait until the British Young Horse Showjumping Champs at Addington next year
Getting a well deserved pat

Striding out in the trot

Her first canter under saddle

Sorry pics are a bit blurry

Lovely! And I do love to see babies going so nice and easily straight away, just shows all the preparation work has been correct.

Claire said that she has taken to her work under saddle so well. In the early days of her lunging, she could really throw in a massive buck (just high spirits and the joys of life), but under saddle she has been a little angel.
It is like watching your children's first day at nursery school. It is such a rewarding feeling seeing them born and then watching them grow up into little adults.
Here she is as a very cute baby

And now she is all grown up

She received a 1st Premium as a potential dressage horse too, so after seeing the photos, Claire and I might fall out over what her career path will be

Gosh - she looks soooo calm and relaxed about it all, bless her!
What a lovely girl. If my chap copes even half that well with his first days under saddle I will be thrilled to bits!
Your daughter seems like such a quiet and confidence-giving rider - no wonder the horse looks happy.
