and they just didn't get it!!! It was a fun event arranged by Lurcher Link for all the rescue dogs and was a great day but our dogs were so overwhelmed neither made it to the first corner in any of the races!!! As they are both nervous of large groups of dogs it was great for socialising them but they were very tired and were probably the nosiest there!!!!
Here's the pics: Dom:

Some super pics there - can you tell me more about it. I have never watched coursing before - what do they use as a lure as I believe hare coursing was another victim of the hunting ban.

Lovely piccies! We took our Wolfhound coursing once and he didn't get it! Why chase a rag when you can chase a real rabbit and get to eat it???!!!! Lovely dogs you have.

Yeah they just use a plastic bag on the end of string and pull it along and the dogs chase it. They ran two dogs against each other and the winner goes into the next round. The lure goes round a number of corners and whoever gets round the furtherest corner first wins the race.

Thank you. I'd imagine if it was a real rabbit there might have been a lot more loose dogs!!!!
