Ok - we would like to get our girls graded and so was generally wondering which society you guys would reccomend as the best. Two are ISH registered mares and the other is AES, being by a WB stallion and out of an ISH mare.
My other thought is: I was looking into the feasibility of holding a mare grading myself, most likely at Plumpton College, as they have said to me that they would be happy to hold one.
My question thus is, if you were to hold one, what society would be best to go with and also, would anyone on here be interested in attending, as I know that the likes of SHBGB say that they prefer to have at least 25 mare's presented at a venue and so I was wondering if anyone would be interested in presenting their mare's at one being held at somewhere like Plumpton in the South East

I think the SHBGB would be your best bet. The AES dont do mare gradings, well at least I dont think they do.
Cant help re your venue.....as a bit far for me....LOL

Eventrider were are you based . We could most likely hold one on our stud without much bother . We have plenty of room and a 60 x 20 school we are East of Cambridge if that is any good. Probably would have to be SHB i would suspect but i will try and find out a bit more as i know someone who is more into other societies than me

We are based in Plumpton in East Sussex. So many of the gradings are held further up the country and so I was just wondering if people would be interested in one being held in the South.

I would go to one at SallyFs! I would need to know a lot more about what the mares are expected to do, though.

I think you can rest assured that SHB(GB) will hold a Grading with way less than 25 mares.

Have heard a rumour that WBB(UK) --formerly BWBS -- will actually be holding regional gradings (ca 4 in total) next year so once I hear more about when and where they will take place I will let you all know.
The advantage of WBB(UK) grading is that normally overstamp into other UK studbooks (apart from daughter studbooks of foriegn ones) fro Main Studbook mares is often pretty automatic but it doesn't necessarily work the other way round (eg WBBUKMain studbook mares are usually overstamped into SHBGB Studbook 1 or II but SHBGB graded mares are not automatically overstamped by WBBUK as SHBGB is not a warmblood studbook but a general sports horse one).
