He is so cute but so disgusting!!!
      #3585819 - 10/10/2008 20:47

I have a 2yr old rottie who still insists on eating his own poo , i have had alot of dogs from puppies and also have GSD who is my Police Dog but i have never known a dog as disgusting he has plenty to eat a (proplan salmon and rice as he has a very sensitive gut as a result of getting gastroenteritus as a pup) i do have to watch his weight aswell. He gets plenty exercise but if i miss him when he does a poo in the garden its gone the other day id missed one that my GSD had done and he started to tuck into that. I have done the ignoring so he is not getting attention for doing it tried giving him pineapple which supposidly makes it taste nasty But its doing my head in he is great dog who loves cuddles but the thought of that poo breath is such a put off..any ideas??

Yack.....greedy poo eating dogs they are vile
Could you try a water pistol or citrus collar to reprimand the action, either that or something more disgusting on the poo, like chilli powder or washing liquid
