      #3490928 - 06/09/2008 18:58

Does anyone know firsthand of a good saddle fitter in the south east kent area???? Got my new saddle coming, a jeffries event (am so excited to get it) and need to get it fitted so i can start riding my missy moo again.
Thanks

Am rubbish on geography and not sure where south east kent is but I'm based between Tonbridge and Maidstone and the only saddler I trust in the whole of Kent is Peter Husband of Husbands Saddlery. He doesn't sell saddles, he makes them to order and is fantastic for refitting, reflocking, repairs alterations etc as he can actually make the saddles not just sell them and fit them like most saddlers...... he is qualified and used to work for the saddler to the Queen so knows his stuff. Sorry to sound like am on my soapbox but think all the others in Kent are sharks........ where are you based?

hiya thanks for the reply. I am based in manston just near margate. How much does he charge to come out and fit a saddle roughly? And do you have his contact number by any chance? the fact that he makes saddles also already makes me want to trust him more than the average saddler and even more so if he worked for the saddler to the queen!!

David Dyer from Frogpool, sure he covers most of kent, just ring the shop and they will let you know, he's very good and has fitted most of mine over the years
