Show jumping, colour of jackets worn
      #3490212 - 06/09/2008 15:22

I need a new jacket, and have seen so many different colour jackets being worn. Can you wear any colour! i:e brown, gray ect ect. Or is it just for pro jumpers? to have the option of colours. Don't really want the norm, like a black or blue

I have a feeling it may say in the BSJA rules that if u want to wear a 'different' colour jacket, u have to write to the BSJA and ask
MMay be wrong though

It's in the rule book. Colours can be green, grey, blue, black, and maroon, but red is for top 10 (I think?) and blue with red collar top 200.

I wanted a maroon but they were all so expensive, so I got a decent black one, and put some blingy buttons on to match my bridle and saddle =)

Ive got a brown pin stripe jacket. The colours in the rule book relate to the JW jackets and the Navy with Red is normally for those on a nations cup team but loads of people have the Kingsland Navy with Red jacket so whatever floats your boat!

If you go on bsja website, then to rule amendments and go down to the latest pdf for rule changes it tells you what colour jackets are now allowed and the new style jump jackets and what colours are allowed.
will try and put link up, try this

I'm a bit of a traditionalist, and I wear a navy Pikeur jacket & white breeches when I compete Juniors, and tweed & fawn breeche when I compete Seniors. I wear tweed seniors as technically I'm still a Junior, and I just feel it shows the seniors respect =/ But I'm weird like that.

But yes, I would say traditional and flattering navy / black jackets, although I don't mind the Charcoal pinstripe ones - but I wouldn't wear one.

Im am bit dull and I have a navy jacket that I love, it fits really well and I wear it for everything. Although if I can find a tweed that fits as well, I will be having it!
