Dorchester Show Report.
      #3489833 - 06/09/2008 13:54

Mixed feelings from today, took my yearling who was an angel to plait and load and he stood like a rock until asked to go into collecting arena. He's obviously come out of his shell a bit since his last show as he was walking around on his hind legs and getting very funny looks from the steward. He was also very vocal as this is the first time he has had a companion away from home.
Any way first class was the small hunter youngstock he did settle a little in the ring, walked out rather well and came third with a special rosette for highest placed yearling. Judge said he had a really good backend (Probably ment fat arse!) so I was chuffed as nuts with that.
Then took him in the competition horse yearling class and came last Judge said he was pleasing to the eye and had good athletic paces, but was immature and lacking condition, he was the smallest in the class. Buggered if I'm going to pump him full of feed for a rosette!
So all in all really pleased with judges comments but need to work on his behaviour as it was far from ideal. Was a little disapointed as he was so well behaved at his last show but it gives us something to work on for next year. A muddy pic after a well deserved roll to show you his condition;

Hi!

Well, I didn't see you. I don't think anyway but am not that good at noticing people!!!

Well done in the first class. There really were some bloody nice horses there today.

I have only been home a short while and am so glad to be in the dry!

Just done my report!

My sister reckons she saw you. Did you go to a school in Sherborne? She said she thought you were in my brothers year.
