Scoop weight and feeding guidelines
      #3488989 - 06/09/2008 10:59

Can one of you experts tell me how many 1lbs there are in a full scoop of H&P nuts and point me to a good site which gives feed rates.

New boy is not such a good doer as Gully and I can still see his ribs.

It depends on the scoop and the type of nuts.

I weigh the scoop empty, set the scales to 0 and then fill with appropriate amount of feed. I nicked the scales from our kitchen!

I was hoping to get an answer before I go down. Looks like I shall give in and take the scales with me!!

Well I know that half a stubbs scoop of D&H leisure mix is 600 gm, P/nuts weight heavy compared to mix.

So if 1 scoop of mix is 1.2 kg, 1 scoop of nuts is likely to be a bit heavier than this perhaps 1.5 kg, but I am only guessing and its better to be accurate.

Sorry, happy weighing!!

im pretty sure a stubbs scoop of nuts is about 4lbs, as mix is about 3lbs and chaff 1lb
