Im sure ive been told this sometime before, but cant remember the answer.....
Are horses allowed to eat cooking apples??
Someone at work just offered me a bag of them for my girl, but im not too sure if they should have them... im thinking not, but can remember that they definatly cant have crab apples..... 
Just thought id check with you great people! xx

Got some from my neighbour yesterday, think they are cookers, not sure, will have to taste one, horsey had 2 this morning and survived!

can cause colic, i give them very sparingly. they are very acidic, i think.

A much better idea for your cooking apples SS81 is to wrap them securely and post them to me immediately. Home made apple pie is one of the things that ought to be available on prescription from your GP when you are feeling low lol! x

Yes you can but only a little at a time. Or as above, send some to me as I have lots of blackberries and can make blackberry and apple crumble - yum yum yum
