CCTV footage prove's Mr Foster killed his family and tourched his home
      #3473384 - 02/09/2008 09:20

I dont know if this has been done already but i have just read that CCTV has been found of Mr Foster fleeing the horse stables after shooting them dead and torching the place then returning to the house where his wife a daughter are already dead then proceeding to torch that.

Such a shame.....i was clinging to hope that he may not have done it him self

RIP Jill & Kirstie

Reading that just made my heart sink. That is disgusting of him to do that.

Oh that's awful How terribly sad and what a waste

He must have been in a terrible state - I can't imagine how anyone could do something like that

If true it defies belief, obviously he couldn't have coped with the perceived shame of his losses and took the actions he did. It's not the first time a man has run amok cos he can't cope. I can't get away from the fact though that he was well and happy at a barbecue a few hours earlier and then the carnage of the evening.

RIP to the Innocents.

Which suggests to me a catalyst, something in addition to his current worries that tipped him over the edge.

Yes you're right. Maybe a huge argument, his wife told him she wasn't gonna use her inheritance to bail him out maybe, could be anything and I guess we'll never know. I just cannot imagine anything so awful as to slaughter his entire family.

in the sun it states

The source added: “A villager who had kept a horse there for years was told out of the blue days before the fire that she’d have to move it. Chris was preparing the ground for what he was going to do.”

if this is true it sounds like he had been planning this for a while not a spur of the moment where a few drinks made everything look worse

Thats quite chilling, its almost a bit easier to think he just exploded than to think it was premeditated.

Thats where i read too. Its terrible to think he had planned it. So maybe something hadnt tipped him over the edge, he planned from the moment he was told his house was going to be repossesed.

It is quite possible that he went to the barbeque with the knowledge of what he was going to do and viewed it is a way of giving his family a pleasent evening before they went. This man was obviously suffering hugely prior to the event, but was also obviously highly adept at keeping his emotions hidden. I feel desperately sorry for the whole family.

Its so horrific what happened. I don't think we will ever know what really really happened and the state of mind that man was in. To kill your wife, child and animals is beyond anything I truly hope that any of us has to face or feel the need to face.

RIP the whole the family and animals

Everything about this case so far suggests to me that he planned it. If what I read was true, blocking the entrance with horsebox and shooting the tyres out, telling the livery to move, the merticulous way every life was taken and the place burnt suggests to me that he had been thinking about and planning it for a while.

Do you remember some of the high school/college shootings that have happened in the US? This case almost reminds me of that in the way that the people behind it premeditated the attacks ruthlessly down to the last detail, whilst their families and friends remained completely unaware of their state of mind - there must be some sort of state of mind where somebody who can plan something so awful can flick a switch and act so normally that not even those closest to them know?

So sad in any case. I can't stop imagining what it must have been like for the last horse, for example, who probably heard the commotions, the fall of its friends, could smell the fear, blood and death of its stablemates, and knew that s/he was next Likewise the dog who may have seen what happened to the other dog(s) and then he came for them... how much terror must have gone on that day I dread to think.

There is Naturally, it is a form of dissociation, usually created by extreem stress. The mind sort of splits in two, with one part going about daily life and one part planning the 'unthinkable' It is possible that the daily life part was not aware of the plans.

So terribly sad, each time I hear or read about this it brings tears to my eyes. One thing we should think about is how the press can twist things, so we may not be getting quite the correct story. But whatever happened, and for whatever reason it shouldn't have. The human brain has not yet been fully understood, and probably never will be, lets hope that something like this never happens again.
RIP

People who decide to kill themselves often seem "happiest" when they've made the decision. It seems to relive them to know their problems will soon be "solved" and that they have something constructive to do. There are all sorts of stories of people who thought their friend/relative was on the upswing because he/she suddenly seemed more relaxed and resigned to the situation, only to find out after the fact . . .
