Wow, thank you all so much for your lovely comments - I am indeed very proud of my men (all three of them, S is shaping up into the best helper I've ever had!).
All are well this morning, and seemed very pleased to be out in the field again. There was a new horse in there and they spent a good 5 minutes trotting and cantering around after it, so they can't be too tired!
Gatcombe was the selection trial for Le Lion, only 3 6 yo places are available to GB, and two of those go to members of the senior team. The remaining place was for the best at Gatcombe, so it will be Sarah Cohen with Trequite.
From here I think I will take William to the Pavo champs, and then possibley run them both the following weekend at Tweseldown proper in the IN. Next year - who knows?!

That is the plan for next year , we need to look into it more, but usefully he has dual Swedish/Danish nationality and I can only name one Danish eventer, so I think I'll go that way! Mind you they came 5th at the europeans, so they must have at least 3 decent riders!

Heehee! I have to say I think I've had my most consistent season ever this year, I know it's not at the highest level, but I think a lot of it is because I have a different mental attitude since settling down - eventing is no longer the be all and end all of my life and I'm so much more relaxed, which seems to be going down the reins . Sorry if that's just made people puke .

You'll have to let us know if it does the same for you! You never know, it may be the next "must-have" eventing accesory - a husband (after all, the Kolibri is getting a bit last year!)

What, so you mean to do well next year I have to MARRY my OH?! Blinking heck, that's even more of a tall order than managing to afford (and wait for) a Kolibri!
I look forward to many more years of mediocrity then

I will also be remaining solidly mediocre! In fact we should do a survey as Carthorse has had a very good year and has just got married!
