Quick question - mare getting kicked - would you use boots?

His naughtiness is kicking Asti when he's feeding - not every time but quite a lot. He's a bit of a piggy and if he can't guzzle fast enough he kicks her and is whacking her legs (mainly tendons)

Now she's going back into work eventually and I don't want the little heathen doing damage - should I maybe stick some boots on her to stop him doing any damage? She's so laid back with him, she doesn't nip him for it (I've given him a slapped arse for it and he stops for a while, but then he starts again)

Or just leave well alone, she'll tell him eventually if it hurts? (He does kick her quite hard, not a tap, he means it!

Ta.
