hi i have a dog and a cat in spain, and i am in england i want them back in england asap. they both had there rabbies jabs but have to stay there 6 months in quarantine dose anyone know what would happen if i brought them over before the six months, or would they take the animals of me at border. or is it possible i can bring them over and put them in quarantine over her for 6 months.....please help me i need advice, i miss them so much please help me thanks gemzo

You are actually putting our 'Rabies Free' Country at risk if you attempt to bring them out early. Rabies has upto a 6 month incubation period so until this period is over they would be impounded into quarantine as soon as they arrived in the UK. They require a blood test 1 month after their rabies jab and if their immunity is ok they then have to wait 6 months before entering into the UK.

I brought my dogs over from thailand they had always had rabies injections....they spent 6 months in quarantine in england so i dont see why you couldnt organise quarantine here....its probably more expensive!
