Was on the news a moment ago.
Dad drove past on his way home from work. Traffic is backlogged, couldn't see how bad the damage was but there was loads of smoke coming out everywhere.
Houses near by were evacuated too. According to one of Dad's colleages (sp) the smoke could be seen from Hersall Common.
Huge devastation to many.
Really hope nobody was hurt.

what time was this? saw a huge thing of smoke in the air driving back from college from that direction

I was on the ring road at 4pm and it was well alight,my daughter was on duty in Hillfields as a police officer at that time but not heard from her ,expect she is busy.Think a lot of it was destroyed

I think it was 40% destroyed!!!
