His naughtiness is kicking Asti when he's feeding - not every time but quite a lot. He's a bit of a piggy and if he can't guzzle fast enough he kicks her and is whacking her legs (mainly tendons)
Now she's going back into work eventually and I don't want the little heathen doing damage - should I maybe stick some boots on her to stop him doing any damage? She's so laid back with him, she doesn't nip him for it (I've given him a slapped arse for it and he stops for a while, but then he starts again)
Or just leave well alone, she'll tell him eventually if it hurts? (He does kick her quite hard, not a tap, he means it!

I put boots on my mare before I lunged her, her foal promptly took them off again. Little foal with a brushing boot in mouth was quite cute but very annoying!

I watch the foals do it all the time, and can't say I've ever come across one doing any damage. Putting boots on will just give baby something new to play with
