Horse & Country TV. Can you watch it OK?
      #2608341 - 18/12/2007 20:59

I'm really peed off with this Channel. Anything that's vaguely horsey loses the sound, goes pixelated or the whole picture jumps and pauses, jumps and pauses so you can't see a thing.

Anything non-horsey is fine!

None of my other Channels have this problem.

I 'watch it' through Sky, Channel 280.

Does anyone else have this problem?

I've got Virgin Media tv and we don't get the channel at all although we get every other Sky channel.

No, some of the production quality is not up to the standard of mainstream channels IMO, but I don't have any problems watching it

Mine is OK, as well, so there must be a fault at your end. It must be so frustrating for you.

You could go on their website and e-mail them for advice:-
http://www.horseandcountry.tv/contact_us

or tel: 02476 692269

Or, if you can find your Sky booklet there is a very useful helpline listed which you could use. Technical Problems - I think. I had to ring them the other day and I had a very nice Scottish lady help me sort it out. It would be worth a try. You'll probably need to know your Mother's maiden name and your password. though!!!

Good luck!!

No, I have the same problem, I watch it on sky 280 and a lot of the time the horsey programs seem to pause or jump and the sound is poor.

Its poor for me, jumps all the time, then gets stuck and I have to change channels to get it back. Would watch it more but it is very annoying.

As a minor channel it will only get a minimal bandwidth, this means that if the weather is bad or your dish is out even a little bit the picture will pause and jump around and even crash. To fix it you will need to get the sky man out to adjust your dish correctly which they will charge for, and if your reception is not great they may not be able to fix it. As to why it only happens in horsey programs well that is probably just sods law!

Try watching the Country Channel. I have watched it online but it says on the website that it is also on Sky Digital 167 and 168.

I found the quality is fab. All the Blenheim programmes are on there plus the Weston Park JRN stuff.

I used to have great problems watching it, but we changed or ariel lead as we were using an old bit, and now it works fine get the occasional problem with pixeling but no where near as bad as it used to be - i couldn't watch it all before our new lead!

An interesting take - do you have broadband/wireless? If you do try unplugging the router. If the picture is suddenly ok then your net router is interfering with the signal for the TV - this happens to us and it only effects some channels and only some of the time

I have the same problembut it is not consistent. It is working fine today and was ok for all the Fredricks series and Lucinda Green but I couldn't watch any of the Dressage Championships, whatever time of the day. The weather doesn't seem to make any difference and all my other channels are fine. I emailed Horse and Country but they didn't reply. If you find an answer please let me know
