View Full Version : Cutty Sark fire
Am so upset about the Cutty Sark going up in flames. It was such a beautiful ship, and one I visited both as a child with my parents, and as a parent with my children. A unique part of Britain's maritime heritage and shipbuilding history gone forever. http://www.horseandhound.co.uk/forums/images/graemlins/frown.gif

Oh no - how awful. The report says the police are treating it as suspicious, why on earth would anyone want to do that.

its not gone completely thank god. if you read on only half of the ship was actually there and alot of that is salvagable
Yes, luckily it was undergoing restoration. Still, it won't be the same.

mentally it won't be the same but physically these people who restore artefacts are so good that in reality I don't think we'll be able to 'see the joins' - unless they want us to
It's being discussed now on BBC Radio 4 if someone wants to tune in!
