Who do you know in Syston Karne??? I live near there and keep my horse in near Syston!
Sue & Mark Williams have a livery yard there. I have stayed with them a couple of times when we have gone to Wales & West shows.
Is that where you keep your horse by any chance? http://www.horseandhound.co.uk/forums/images/graemlins/tongue.gif

No...am not far though. I keep mine at Sue and Mike Fews yard in Cann Lane. Was actually going to go have a look round Mark Williams's place though as I come back during my holidays from Uni and need to find stables...Cann Lane has been very full up lately and even has a waiting list!!

Welcome! Try sending a PM to Siennamum - she knows most of the south Bristol yards, whilst I am only good for stuff in the north Bristol/South Gloucestershire area...

Im new here!
Just reading about the problems of finding livery yards in bristol? I am just about to start at Uni in Oct and was planning on taking my horse with me. I am going up to visit a few yard on Sun but they all seem to be miles away!? (Leyland Court and two in Compton Greenfield) Im living in Stoke Bishop in Clifton does any one have any ideas of what I should do?
Im not bothered about turnout and hacking I just need a school? Any ideas would be appreciated.

Im new here as well, and am also in the process of trying to find a DIY yard near Bristol and having a few difficulties. Does anyone know what Oakleaze Farm is like? Well if anyone could help it would be great.

Toghill? It's just north of Bath on the A420. They have a school, turnout, XC course and you can ride round their fields. It was £50/week for all your hay/straw and they muck out/turnout as well. They were also offering DIY, the prices might have changed. Its a good deal in the winter.

I see Vicky Show jumping a bit. Last I heard was that she and Ernest had split up and she was going out with Nick Burd but that was about a year ago.
Cheers for that. Glad she's still jumping. Do you know if she still has a horse called Leo V, he wasw more Ernests horse was my little (big 17hh) baby!!
I did wonder as his website which is now down had him down for being in Scotland. Ernest taught me sooo much when I was there. Was funny watching him ride Vicky's Monach in the school one day. he had a pessoa with suede seat I use to call his sticky saddle, Vicky wouldnt let him ride in it said Monach had to go in his own saddle. Ernest was cantering round the school saying I could sit here all day, Monach had other ideas & when he came round the corner gave the most massive bucks launching Ernest across the school! Unfortunately Vicky & I couldnt do anything for laughing & think Monach was too!!
