1. ‘Loves hunting’

Screen Shot 2016-06-07 at 14.36.09

Height: 16.2hh

Age: seven

Gender: gelding

Selling points: “I have owned ‘Midnight’ for one year, since he came out of racing. We have done hacking, schooling, dressage, jump clinics and fun rides with him, however he doesn’t favour schooling consistently. If his work is not kept varied and regular he can be nappy but never silly nor dangerous. He has hunted two seasons in Hereford and was golden; forward but not strong and jumps anything — he really loves hunting. Due to him only retiring recently he is still green in the school so not suitable for a novice. He has an astonishing jump when free schooled however hasn’t done much jumping of coloured poles under saddle. Will pop any cross-country fence or rustic with ease. Good to hack alone or in company, in light traffic and with farm machinery. Only raced three times and was too slow. Very chunky boy, retired sound with no injuries. RoR registered. Non racing agreement has been signed.”

3. ‘Eager to please’

Screen Shot 2016-06-07 at 14.50.41

Height: 16hh

Age: six

Gender: mare

Selling points: “Very genuine, loveable, fun mare who is always eager to please and loves to learn. Bold and careful cross-country and showjumping. Good basic flatwork with lots of potential to improve further as very trainable and has low mileage. Is competing at 80/90 level at the moment with scope to go much further. Has hunted this season and behaved impeccably. She has also team chased, done sponsored rides, as well as dressage, arena eventing and showjumping competitions. Correct and well mannered enough to show as a RoR. She is a real pleasure and so easy to do. It is easy to forget that she is only just six. Snaffle mouthed at all times. Good with dogs, children, tractors, traffic, to catch, shoe and clip. Travels in a lorry or trailer. Lives in or out. Hacks on her own or in company. “

4. ‘Lovely, safe ride’

Screen Shot 2016-06-07 at 14.57.21

Height: 16.3hh

Age: 13

Gender: gelding

Selling points: “This horse is good to hack but is ultra lazy on the roads. He is good in traffic and is not spooky. He is a responsive ride on grass but is never strong or silly. He is a lovely mover and has a scopey, accurate jump. He raced 37 times (very successfully) on the Flat and over jumps up until June 2013. Has been in a private home since and has done plenty of hunting and fun rides. Lately he has just been a hack and he came to us as his owner felt he would enjoy a more varied lifestyle. Has previously been novice ridden, and is occasionally at present. He would suit an all-round home.”

5. ‘Fun, genuine and sound’

Screen Shot 2016-06-07 at 15.23.22

Height: 16.2hh

Age: eight

Gender: gelding

Selling points: “This is a racehorse who no longer wants to be a racehorse. He is eligible for RoR and is very sound and sensible. He would make an excellent all-rounder, dressage, event or show horse. He is good to do and has a very scopey jump.”

6. ‘Ready to start a new career’

Screen Shot 2016-06-07 at 15.39.01

Height: 15.2hh

Age: four

Gender: gelding

Selling points: “Good-looking and lovely straight mover. He has clean legs and no vices. This horse has been out of training since September and has had a holiday over the winter. He is now ready to start his new career. I have hacked him out and ridden him round the school, but due to not being in any regular work I am selling from the field. He has been over hurdles when in training and jumps well. He is good enough to event or show and is already registered with RoR.”
