What the organisers say
The dressage field is sited well away from the excitement of showjumping and cross-country, five minutes walk from the lorry park and can be accessed using the dedicated horse walkway.
The showjumping is the centre of the event. Our large arena gives ample room for competitors and spectators alike. The main showjumping sponsor is Aspen Solutions, who support this discipline with prizes for section winners for showjumping results.
Each cross-country track includes a good variety of well-built and straightforward fences that are intended to educate and encourage both horse and rider. The terrain is undulating and includes a wooded section incorporating a number of new fences including drops and skinny fences for the BE100 and BE100open. This area will be widened substantially prior to competition day. The courses also include water features. The main cross-country sponsor is Parks Land Rover, which provides officials’ vehicles on event day.
There will be a number of course changes from last year from cross-country course-designer Rob McSkimming. We plan to make alterations to some of the more established fences, namely the Advanced Roller Doors fences, as well as adding some new feature fences to each of the courses.
The BE100 track will be up to height and near the maximum number of jumping efforts, with alternatives offered at some fences. The BE90 is suitable for riders moving up a level, while the BE80(T) has been designed to give confidence to both horse and rider and is suitable as a first event.
