Withington Manor Horse Trials


  • Fiona Hobby took her first advanced win riding Smart Approach in an incident-packed class at Withington Manor on Sunday. Runner-up Lucy Wiegersma was fastest across country on Zebedee Vlll.

    Just 19 of the 50 cross-country starters in the senior advanced section went clear over Eric Winter’s course. The under-25s only achieved nine clears from 27 starters.

    Just 0.2pen covered the first three in the close-fought Horse Trials Support Group under-25 section.

    The winner, Chloe Saunders (Foxcourt Abbey), was riding in only her second advanced class. Jay Hallim riding Ellfield April Joy (pictured) finished second ahead of Paul Whitehead on Jump The Q ll.
