Top training scholarship announced

  • Chris King has been awarded a training scholarship from the Horse Trials Support Group

Eventing’s most valuable training scholarship, the Horse Trials Support Group’s annual award worth £3,000, has gone to 24-year-old Chris King.

Chris made his four-star debut at Burghley earlier this year, with a clear cross-country round on David & Jane Tolley’s veteran Hinnegar.

Riding for the Tolley’s stable, near Lambourn, Chris also brings on horse of all levels for several different owners.

A member of the New Forest branch of the Pony Club’s Prince Philip Cup team, Chris became interested in eventing while studying at Hartpury College, and has been helped by Leslie Law.
