Top event rider launches website

  • Triple Olympic gold medal-winning event rider Matt Ryan has launched his own website

Top Australian eventer rider, Matt Ryan has joined a handful of top riders by embracing the internet and launching his own website.

One of the first international event riders to establish a web presence, Matt joins Mary King ( www.eluk.co.uk/MaryKing/index.htm) and top show jumper John Whitaker (www.john-whitaker.co.uk), in offering fans more details about his background and career online.

“I have been thinking about launching my own website for a couple of years, but I’m not too good with computers so I haven’t got round to it, ” explained Matt. “Then one of my sponsors, Armadillo Products, offered to help me set it up and here we are.

“Hopefully the site will enable people to keep in touch with what I’m doing and how the horses are going.”

At the moment Matt is looking for someone to buy Bonza Puzzle, a 16hh chestnut Australian thoroughbred who he describes as “a galloping and jumping machine” despite being a little stockier than the typical Australian thoroughbred. Matt was third with Bonza Puzzle at Burgie CCI** in June.

“Puzzle is owned by my brother but he needs to sell him, and I really don’t want to lose the ride. I believe he is good enough to go to the next Olympics, and I want to be on his back.”

The site also includes contact details, the cost of livery, schooling and other services on offer, plus information about Matt’s sponsors. If you are interested in finding out more about Matt visit www.mattryan.co.uk.
