New trainer for German eventers

  • Chris Bartle is to train the German three-day-event team in the run up to the next Olympic games, Athens 2004.

The German eventers won at the Seoul Olympics and were team bronze medallists in Barcelona.

Individuals such as Claus Erhorn and Bettina Overesch have also won major honours, but they are still not as successful as their dressage and show jumping counterparts.

Chris was among the favourites to get the performance manager role that eventually went to Yogi Breisner at the start of the year.
