Chartered building surveyors dp+PAUL are the new title sponsors Nunney International Horse Trials (14-16 June) having won an innovative lottery-style sponsorship scheme.

Local businesses were encouraged to buy lottery tickets, which cost £100 each and entrants were entered into a draw.

The winners will not only have the event named after them, but the prize also includes a table for eight in the hospitality tent on each of the three days, car passes for each guest and official sponsorship of the CIC** and intermediate classes (excluding the under 18 open intermediate).

The company’s name will also be printed on the number bibs for the CIC**.

James Paul of dp+PAUL said: “We are really thrilled to have our firm’s name as the title sponsor of the prestigious Nunney International Horse Trials. We are delighted to be supporting this event and its new approach to raising sponsorship.

As a well-established business we have been involved with many equestrian and rural building projects in the Mendip Area and are pleased to be able to put something back into the equestrian community.”

The event’s organiser John Colson said: “[The lottery] has gone extremely well and has exceeded expectations.  It is great that the winners are all local businesses and it augers well for the future that the it has enabled so many to get involved.”
