KBIS sponsor’s British Eventing’s new-look under-18 series

  • KBIS British Equestrian Insurance has continued its backing for young event riders, by sponsoring the new-look under-18 programme for 2011.

Last week, British Eventing (BE) announced that its three programmes for under-18s — BE100, JRN (junior regional novice) and juniors — will be brought under one umbrella.

The changes are a result of a major review carried out by BE in May.

And today, BE has announced that KBIS, which have long sponsored the JRN series, is increasing its backing of the sport to sponsor the U-18 Eventing Team Championship and the BEU18 regional series.

KBIS managing director Guy Prest said: “KBIS is delighted to continue supporting the under-18 events in its new and much extended format.

“Our sponsorship of the JRN series for the past four years has shown us how important the support and training available to junior riders is to the sport’s future health.”

Mr Prest added: “It has also been very rewarding to see many of the top under-18 riders develop into the stars of the future.”

The U-18 Eventing Team Championship will take place at Weston Park International in October — the former home of the JRN Championships.
