Fame academy for young eventers


  • Riders aged between 16 and mid-20s are invited to compete for a place in the Winergy Young Event Rider Academy, which involves a week’s training for horse and rider with Olympic gold medallist Andrew Hoy and a £500 feeding grant.

    There will be four regional training days in June with Andrew and Bettina Hoy, from which a final eight will be selected for the final on Friday, 5 September at the Burghley Masterfoods International Horse Trials.

    Interested riders should send a full equestrian curriculum vitae, plus an explanation in less than30 words, explaining why they should be invited to take part to: Winergy Young Event Rider Academy, c/o Tamara Hudleston, St Paul’s House, Upper Froyle, nr Alton, Hants GU34 4LB.
