Brigstock Horse Trials


  • Oliver Smith geared up for Bramham’s under-25 championships by landing the advanced intermediate class at Brigstock. Riding Monarch’s Aristocrat, he snatched victory from Jo May (Faere Vision) by 0.1pen. Pippa Funnell finished third on Ensign. Fourth was Justin Clubley with Romany Campfire, ahead of Guy Herbert riding Fortunes Way and Lucinda Fredericks on Koyuna Sun-Glo.

    William Fox-Pitt’s Moon Man galloped to his third open intermediate win on the season. Vicky Brake was second aboard Imperial Cavalier with Piggy French (Holly Blue Curtis) in third.

    Andrew Downes won the intermediate on Loughnatousa Gypsy Diamond, while Tiny Clapham steered The Light Fandango into second. Spencer Sturmey regained his dressage placing in third with Forrest Field, ahead of William Fox-Pitt with the fast and flashy stallion All That Jazz V.
