Blenheim Horse Trials cross-country


    • 63 of the 89 starters completed the cross-country course
    • 42 completed the course without any jumping penalties
    • Three horse and rider combinations completed the course without jumping penalties and inside the optimum time of 10mins 51secs
    • Jean Renaud Adde from France was the highest-placed first-time rider in 12th with Hason D’Elpegere
    • Jay Halim was the highest-placed British first-timer in 15th with Kilfinnie II
    • Five riders — Chris King, Tom Crisp, Bruce Haskell, Richard Jones and Tristram Owers — completed with two horses
    • The 89 horses starting the cross-country included 74 geldings, 14 mares and one stallion
    • The only stallion was Woodlands Unique Comet ridden for Ireland by Sacha Pemble
    • The tallest horse was 17.3hh Farrington’s Morpheus ridden by Sam Jennings
    • The field included one dun, Dunauger ridden by British first-timer Tracey Garside, and one skewbald, On The Contrary ridden by Carly Reid
    • The youngest competitor is 18-year-old Georgie Spence on Running Brook
    • The oldest is the evergreen Eddie Stibbe at 58, riding Dusky Moon
