Moorlands Totilas semen available to just 12 mares in Britain

  • Moorlands Totilas is being limited to 125 breedings in 2010, of which 12 have been allocated for British use.

The current holder of the dressage freestyle world record, Moorlands Totilas, is a 17.1hh 10-year-old black Dutch warmblood stallion from the KWPN stud book. He is by Gribaldi and his dam is Lominka — by Glendale.

Twemlows Hall Stud Farm has been asked to handle the UK frozen semen allocation from the stallion. Inseminations will take place at Twemlows’ adjoining mare insemination and embryo transfer unit. The allocation is to approved mares only.

Managing partner Edward Matson said: “To have the greatest dressage stallion in the world effectively standing here at stud is a great honour for Twemlows Hall.”
