BD’s chief executive weds


  • David Holmes, the chief executive of British Dressage was recently married to Heather Bruere.

    The marriage took place at Rugby registry office, Warwicks, and was followed by a blessing at St John’s Wood Church, North London the next day.

    The reception was held at the officers’ mess of the King’s Troop RHA, which David had previously commanded.

    Among those celebrating the marriage was Emile Faurie, who trains Heather, together with his brother Charl, who had flown in from South Africa.

    Also present at the blessing was Desi Dillingham, together with members of the BD board of directors, plus Horse & Hound deputy editor Pippa Cuckson and Lt General Sir Timothy Granville-Chapman, the current Adjutant General.

    The couple honeymooned in South Africa before beginning their married life in Warwickshire, where Heather has a competition and training yard
