H&H readers receive their prize-money
8 July, 2007
Two H&H readers who were not paid in full after being awarded bursaries at a show last summer, have finally got their hands on their winnings.
Sam Cook and Danielle Snowdon both won £800 bursaries at the unaffiliated Ultimate Showcase of Champions held at the Great Yorkshire Showground last August.
But, as reported by H&H, seven months after the event the duo had received only £200 of the amount promised (news, 8 March).
But Sam contacted H&H last week with good news. She said: “Danielle and I have now received the majority of the prize-money, with the rest promised next week.
“We really did enjoy the show and hope to attend this year’s event on 12 August.”
