Event rider plans to set world record for non-stop riding

Event rider Joss Gray may not be able to sit down for a week after his attempt to create a first-time world record for non-stop riding.
Joss aims to ride for 24 hours to raise cash for two South African orphans who he met at the wedding of friends Mark and Marina Williams in South Africa.
The Williams’ are the sibling’s guardians, supporting them financially.
“The kids need five years of schooling at £9,000 a year for both of them, but anything we can raise will help,” said Joss.
There is no current record for continuous horse riding.
Joss, who is just returning to riding after breaking his pelvis at Gatcombe last year, will start his 24-hour marathon on Saturday, 27 June at Alden Equicentre in Oxfordshire.
He will set off at 7pm and ride 12 horses.
A representative of the Guinness Book of Records will be present to keep an eye on proceedings.
