Hunt facts: Bedale

Hunt: dates from 1832, taking over country that was formerly part of the vast Raby territory — the Raby Hunt Bedale Club was formed in 1816. The Raby country was hunted by the Earl of Darlington (1st Duke of Cleveland)
Country: lies in North Yorks. East of the A1 is mainly arable vale, while the west rises to the dales, where there are some stone walls. Otherwise, mainly rails and hedges
Masters: Mary Tweddle, Andrew Osborne, David Ford, Stephen Swiers and James Fife
Staff: Andrew Osborne MFH hunts hounds, K-H/first whipper-in is Richard Tabberer, second whip is Matthew Penrose
Visitors: £60 plus £10 field money
