French rider dies at Moulin one-day event

A young Frenchwoman has died whilst taking part in an one-day event, bringing the tragic tally of riders to be killed in competition to ten this year.Gautier Beaudoin of the French Equestrian Federation said: “A tragic accident happened during the one day event at Moulin-Coulandon causing the death of a horsewoman, Maïa Boutanos.
“The 29-year-old secondary school teacher was fatally injured whilst riding the novice test.”
He said Maia was an experienced rider who had ridden at CCI** and advanced level.
