Ellen Whitaker, born on 5 March 1986, is a British showjumper.

She is a member of the famous Whitaker family, who have been a dominant force in the world of showjumping. Ellen is niece to Michael Whitaker and John Whitaker and cousin to William Whitaker and Rober Whitakert.

Now based in Ramsley, South Yorkshire, Ellen has ridden since her earliest memories and competed at her first affiliated show at the age of 5. By the time she was 8, Ellen had qualified for HOYS. Since then Ellen has enjoyed consistent successes and was selected to be a member of the Accenture Junior International Squad from 2001 to 2003.

In 2004, when Ellen turned 18, she was selected as a member of the British Nations Cup Team and has been regular ever since.

Ellen’s attractive appearance and fashionable appearance have brought an element of glamour to the show jumping world. She models for riding wear manufacturer Caldene and won the BSJA Personality of the Year in 2005.

In 2007 Ellen was picked to represent Great Britain in the European Championships held in Germany, in a bid to secure Britain a place in the Olympics at Beijing. At the time it was disputed whether selecting such a young rider to represent their country, when there were many other more experienced show jumpers to choose from, was the right decision. However Ellen jumped triple clear allowing Britain to claim gold and qualify for the Olympics.

Among Ellen's goals for the future is to represent Britain in the 2012 Olympics in London.
