International show jumping prospect Fantasia II sold

  • Latest show jumping news

Yet another British international horse prospect, Fantasia II, has been sold overseas.

Carron Nicol’s promising mare Fantasia, winner at Horse of the Year Show (HOYS) and Belfast with Billy Twomey, as well as numerous victories with Carron, has been sold to Spain.

Success for new rider Manuel Anon, 16, has been immediate, with a grand prix win against a 68-strong entry in Barbizon CSI 2*, France on 5 April.

“She left my yard and went straight to Barbizon, arriving in the early hours of Friday morning in time for the trot-up at 7am,” said Carron, who is sad to lose this scopey mare, but without any world ranking points, could not compete in the bigger international shows.

Mandy Hall’s Rusedski II, a successful ride of Robert Whitaker’s has also been sold — to Norwegian young rider Susanne Gjendemsjoe.
