Chine House Equine Hospital is the largest equine practice in the East Midlands. It is staffed by 11 equine veterinary surgeons including a European Registered Specialist in equine surgery, 2 holders of the RCVS certificate of equine practice and 1 holder of the RCVS certificate of Equine Medicine (Stud Medicine). Our nursing team consists of 5 fully qualified veterinary nurses and a trainee equine veterinary nurse. We undertake our own on call for our clients 24 hours a day, seven days a week.
The equine hospital has a purpose built equine operating suite, padded anesthetic induction and recovery boxes, and a large examination room. The hospital was further expanded two years ago to include purpose built isolation facilities, extra stabling (bringing the total number to 19) and indoor stocks for standing surgical and medical procedures. There are five post and rail fenced paddocks for in-patient use. We have an experienced team of surgeons, headed by Greg Quinn.
We offer digital radiography, ultrasonography and endoscopy. We have our own in house laboratory for routine samples and can offer a service out of normal working hours.
We are a BEVA approved list for Artificial Insemination for both chilled and frozen semen. Our vets are highly experienced in pre purchase vetting procedures both part 2 and full stage (part 5).
We cover a large part of the East Midlands. Our normal visit charge applies to all visits within 18 miles of the practice. We offer a variety of visit options, including discounts for multiple clients. Please contact us to arrange a visit.
Chine House is a Royal College of Veterinary Surgeons tier 3 accredited small animal and equine hospitals - this is the highest level of accreditation available, and demonstrates our commitment to providing the highest standard of veterinary care.
