Businesses, Equine Law, Businesses
Clarke Willmott has a team of dedicated equine lawyers to advise and assist clients. It is our breadth of legal expertise which enables our team to provide the best legal services to our equestrian clients. Lawyers within our team specialise in subjects ranging from equestrian property transactions, tenancies, equestrian contracts, personal injury, sale and purchase disputes, employment law advice, business advice, family and matrimonial disputes, health & safety, animal welfare and regulatory issues.
We have a wide and varied experience of the equestrian industry built up over many years. We are not only able to advise clients on the law, but have a sound practical knowledge of horses, riding and the equestrian industry so can really understand where our clients are coming from, what they need from us and the lateral thinking and sensitivities often involved.
The equine team is headed by Guy Hurst (Partner) and Sarah Jordan (Associate). Guy is a Past President of the Shetland Pony Stud-Book Society, a Liveryman and Court Member of the Worshipful Company of Farriers, former Chief Horse Steward at the Royal Show, has been a pony judge for over 30 years and has ridden all his life. Sarah owns horses and competes in various disciplines. She was one of the original solicitors to introduce equine law to the legal market and therefore has years of experience at practising this specialist area. Sarah regularly contributes legal articles to Horse & Hound and other leading equestrian publications and speaks on equine law. Sarah and Guy are members of the Equine & Animal Lawyers Association.
We offer a great service with great people and we are ideally placed to advise and act for our specialist equestrian clients.
Please feel free to contact Guy (0845 209 1036) or Sarah (0845 209 1046) for an initial consultation.
