Short hair, medium size (standard: 43 - 55 cms, adult shoulder heights). Born: Dec 01. Available: 3 males. Our Podenco Andaluz are family- and companion dogs. They live together with us and participate in our everyday life. Also our puppies are being raised in our family, in the most loving way, in house and garden, providing them everything they might need to develop perfectly, as genuine Podenco Andaluz, sound in mind and body. Of course we would like to make sure, that the future of each of our puppies will continue in the most happily way, and we would like to find the best possible new active owner/family for them, preferably in a dog-friendly country, who want to give them a good long life as a family and companion dog. The Podenco Andaluz is one of oldest dog breeds worldwide. Elegant, with a Greyhound-like body structure. Highly intelligent, especially loyal and sensible character, very easy to educate in a positive way. It is widespread in Spain, especially because of its excellent versatility and quality for hunting. Children use to feel very comfortable with these dogs, because of its soft and loving temperament. Nevertheless, it is not a dog for everyone. They are independent and need activity. They learn easily and love to work, but they want to understand commands and they think before they perform. Training has to be done in a positive way. Coarseness and excessive demands in order to demand blind obedience lead to refusal and irreversible mental damage of these dogs. These dogs match perfectly with horses. They love to run and to do all kind of activities with positive training and it is a pleasure to work and collaborate with them. And maybe even also somebody wants to provide them a work- or sports program. Since genuine purebred Podenco Andaluz use to be very rarely seen in other countries by now, we are sure that our puppies will be perfect representatives of their breed , in type, character and qualities.
