Business advice offered as Pennine Bridleway opens

Advice on how to cash in on opportunities arising as the Pennine Bridleway National Trail opens will be offered to local businesses at a free workshop on 25 November.
Local business people can get ideas on how start up or diversify to meet the needs of new customers brought by the bridleway as new sections open over the coming months.
“These will provide fantastic opportunities for new businesses, including the provision of accommodation and refreshments for rides, cyclists and walkers, as well as stabling and horsebox parking and baggage transport,” said Malcolm Petyt from the Yorkshire Dales National Park Authority (YDNPA).
New sections of the Pennine Bridleway are due to open over the next two years, providing a continuous route from Yorkshire to Cumbria.
User requirements, marketing, business start up, planning issues, funding and sustainable tourism will all be covered in the workshop, organised by Natural England and the YDNPA.
Speakers will be available for one-to-one discussions after the workshop at the Dales Countryside Museum in Hawes.
