Specialist equestrian insurance company, AmTrust Equine, is supporting 28-year-old event rider Wayne Garrick for the 2009 eventing season.
Wayne made a great start to the 2009 season at Gatcombe Horse Trials coming 6th in the intermediate novice section on eight-year-old Flyte. The partnership has three previous wins at novice and finished last season in the top 20 at Weston Park one-star.
Perdie Reid, claims manager at AmTrust Equine said: “AmTrust Equine is a specialist company run by horse enthusiasts. The team has over 40 years of experience between us and we’re delighted to support up and coming professional eventers like Wayne whose ethos of ‘let’s put the fun back into horses’ really holds true these days. We look forward to seeing him go from strength to strength.”
Wayne is based near Chipping Norton and his plans for 2009 include competing at Bramham and Blenheim. Born in Germany, Wayne moved to the Lake District when he was seven, where he caught the equestrian bug and joined the Pony Club.
Wayne said: “I’m so lucky to have AmTrust Equine as my principle sponsor. AmTrust Equine is a great insurance company that actually understands horses and the highs and lows of ownership. They also put their money where their mouth is in terms of supporting young riders.”
