Over To You: Britain’s Eventing Legend

H&H reviews Over To You: Britain’s Eventing Legend by Hilary Manners with Jeanette Brakewell
A beautiful book with great pictures of the world’s most-medalled event horse competing, as well as more offbeat shots. Among my favourites is the sequence of him rolling.
I also loved the inclusion of scans of Over To You’s entry in the Doncaster Sales catalogue — he didn’t sell as he failed the vet — and his jet-setting passport.
But this is a book to read as well as to grace the coffee table. Jeanette Brakewell gives her insights on riding “Jack” and his character, and there are contributions from many others, including his breeder Mary Lett.
