Visit WEG with Horse & Hound

  • The ultimate show of 2006 will undoubtedly be the World Equestrian Games, which are taking place in Aachen, Germany from 20 August to 3 September. Entrants will be competing for the prestigious title of World Champion in seven disciplines. Reining, driving trials, endurance and vaulting join the Olympic sports of show jumping, dressage and eventing in the ultimate equestrian competition.

Horse & Hound has joined forces with AKA Event & Travel Services to offer readers an exclusive package tailored around the WEG eventing competition, which gets underway on 23 August. The package includes five nights accommodation in a twin bedded room at the five-star Hyatt Regency Hotel in Cologne, including a full buffet breakfast daily and a H&H welcome buffet dinner with drinks on arrival.

A private coach will be available to take guests from the hotel to the Games and back each day. The ever-popular season tickets to the eventing competition plus a course walk prior to the cross-country are included in the package, as well as a travelling representative with equestrian knowledge, who will be on hand throughout your stay for your assistance.

This fantastic package costs just £699 per person, based on two people sharing a twin bedded room. A single room supplement will apply for those travelling alone.

If you wish to extend your stay to watch action from other disciplines, the hotel accommodation can be extended but you will need to source your own WEG tickets for the other sports.
