Piggy French on form at Aske Horse Trials

  • Piggy French returned to the Calverts Carpets Aske Horse Trials on 23 September to recapture the main class in which she was victorious last year. This year’s success came with Cast Away II, who led throughout.

Nicola Wilson (née Tweddle) finished second riding Master Banks. Rachael Lupton and Blue Brook took third place and was the only competitor of the day to finish on her dressage score.

Oliver Townend won intermediate section B on Tribal Leader. In second place was Rosalind Canter riding Diamond Sun.

The final intermediate section went to Paddy Muir on her home-bred mare Peggy Brown, by Primitive Rising. Runner-up in this section was owner-rider Victoria Baker on Homely Sort.
